Painting with Confetti Fabrics to design this abstract flower project. Caroline Sharkey is well known for her chopped, reconstructed surfaces and this will not disappoint. You will cut fabric colours and design by placing them down onto your background to create a new surface. Then start another 3D decorative layer to your individual project. After class your fabric could be made into a picture for an art quilt, a cushion or a bag there are endless opportunities. This class is suitable for the beginner machinist or those who would like to extend their creative energy & techniques to another level. The great thing about Caroline’s technique is that the holding stitches are a means to an end rather than a feature for the end result. It means that as a beginner wanting to explore free machining techniques, this is a great class to let your hair down & enjoy a freedom that isn’t always available in other more traditional machining classes.
