Creative Treasures Collage Book Workshop with Caroline Sharkey
Create beautiful collaged surfaces with fast stitching by machine then embellish and decorate with hand slow stitching.

Bring theme colours and ideas so there is some continued theme throughout the cover and pages. You will need the equivalent amount of 3 fat quarters for your background fabric in colours and pattern designs that you wish to concentrate on. This could be a few different fabrics made up of a few colour/pattern design lots.
Sheer fabrics: these are used throughout the book and add the dreamy blurry surfaces and edges to your book, so bring some sheers like organza, tulle and netting.
Scraps of fabrics that continue in the theme; ideas that have different textures such as lace, velvet, satin and sparkly fabrics. This is to collage for the cover and add bits throughout your book.

I will have some special collage packs available in class for purchase $35 each and there will also be some of my scraps available to share in class as well.

Bring some of your theme fabric designs like small printed butterflies, bees, birds and flowers. There will be some of these to share as well so bring what you can.
Sewing machine threads in colours that also compliment and contrast with your theme. There will be some of my favourite machine sewing thread colours to share in class.
Hand embroidery threads that you can use to decorate the cover and page surfaces: this can also be used afterwards so don’t bring too many to start with.

Optional: Bring any special little trinkets and mementos to add to pages or lead to designs you might create on your pages; this can really personalize your own collage treasure.

The cost of the 2 day workshop is $380 and includes Lunch, Morning and Afternoon Teas.

CANCELLATION POLICY

$100 is non refundable in the event of your cancellation.
Full Workshop Fee is non refundable in the event of your cancellation after 31 March 2021.
Berry Quilting Retreat reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to lack of numbers or unforeseen circumstances. In this situation you will be given a full refund for the workshop.
Under no circumstances is Berry Quilting Retreat responsible for any additional expenses incurred to attend the Workshop, such as accommodation and/or travel expenses
