You are warmly invited to immerse yourself in the magical world of hand embroidery with Polish embroidery artist Kasia Jacquot. Kasia’s workshops offer comprehensive stitch lessons as well as the all-important tips and handy hints which will make your work so much easier. Kasia focuses strongly on enabling and inspiring you all the while arming you with the necessary skills to become a confident and relaxed needleworker. Her unique, laid back approach will free you of any harsh self-criticism that so many of us have about our own work! Perfection is left outside the door as you enjoy stitching with ease and self-acceptance. Classes are kept small to ensure plenty of one on one contact as Kasia is passionate about ensuring that you will leave fulfilled, skilled and inspired.
A cosy and tactile full day workshop where you will learn to work with wool applying simple stitches onto linen. Kasia walks you through the details of how to use wool for embroidery and how to create beautiful, soft textures. This is a relaxing workshop using several colours of wool chosen for the project leaving you to focus on stitches, textures and technique. We’ll be following a pattern which can later be made into a beautiful wall hanging or anything else your heart may be inspired to make. Pattern may vary slightly from images shown.
Kit to be purchased from artist - $70
70cm x 40cm panel of Russian raw linen.
Specialty artisan wool, 2 colourways to choose from.
Two needles.
Patterns for transfer.
Transfer paper.
