Maru Viquez - Material Girls Down Under: Fabric Collage
Choose between a pattern by Bev Dennis or Laura Heine.
Participants are welcome to make either a Collage from a pattern (or kit) using a Bev Dennis design or a design by Laura Heine.
These patterns are perfect for working through your stash as they incorporate small pieces of all kinds of fabrics and designs from your collection.
There are three patterns available from Bev Dennis designs: an Emu, Platypus and a Cockatoo (+possibly a Koala).
Bev Dennis patterns are $20 each if you wish to use fabrics from your stash or you can purchase a Kit (incl. pattern) for $75.
Laura Heine patterns are $40 each and you can use fabrics from your stash or you can purchase appropriate fabrics from Maru at the retreat. Maru suggests you choose from a small elephant, fox, chicken, dog, featherweight sewing machine, small seahorse or any of the minis. Try to avoid the very large patterns as these would not be able to be completed within the two days.
